Adventurous Outdoor Ministry:
Utah is the state for adventure; from hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, ATV-ing, camping & fishing in the warmer months to snow-boarding, skiing, snow-shoeing, snowmobiling, sledding & ice-skating in the colder months. Utah snow is known as “the greatest snow on earth!” In fact, the 2002 Winter Olympics were held here in Utah! Utah is more than just salt flats— it is home to some of the most beautiful sights that God has created.
There is outdoor ministry time worked in to every week of your trip. During this time you will be ministering to other college age students, as well as engaging in leadership development/team-building trips—rafting, camping, snow-boarding, skiing, etc (depending on the time of year of your trip.)
Cross-Cultural Missions Experience:
Maybe you’re not sure of the Adventure that God is calling you to do.
During this three-month program, you’ll discover your gifts and be equipped to use them for the Kingdom of God. Hands-on is how adventure is done. Sure, we teach you and have some class time, but most of your time will be spent involved in hands-on ministry. This LDS-based culture is so different that ministering here, even though it is in the United States, is still considered ministering cross-culturally—which makes this a great place to get equipped for cross-cultural ministry.
While here, you will be living dorm-style in a mission house. You’ll be sharing rooms with other students from the program as you live, grow and learn in community, just like the disciples of Jesus did.
